Today was the Fall craft and tractor show at Fairgrove MO.One of the biggest shows around here.I had to work so my wife drove my tractor in the parade and pulled a small trailor with kids from our church. The kids sit on straw and threw out candy to the crowd and my buddy Dave that collects flags brought his Grandfathers 48 star flag and flew it on an 8' poll mounted on the draw bar. When I got off work it was all winding down but the look on all those kids faces that got to ride in the parade. I just sat back and watched as the little kids walked by and all had to rub their little hands on the old Farmall and tell there Moms and Dads about seeing it in the parade and about the candy the kids threw to them. I saw more than one old timer take a few min.s to lean on the old tires and just watch the old yellowed flag wave in the breeze. You could tell by their far off stares that years of memories must have been flooding back. When I saw all this today all that cash that I sunk in the smoke belching beast and all the hours of work seemed well worth it.I learned the pleasure is not in owning it but in the shareing of it. Photos at a later time. Hope they are not as boring as this posting. Paul
