Since you can get it started everything must be almost correct. You might not realize a miss on a cylinder until you put a load on it. You will then hear it right away. Turn the engine slowly by hand (with the coil wire off) and listen for the impulse clicks. You should hear one for each ignition strike. If not then the impulse mechanizim is gummed up. We are spinning the engines so fast with the electric starters that the impulse system doesn't have a chance to work. You need every one. Time the magneto so that you hear the impulse click on the first mark of the two marks on the belt pulley. When the engine starts the impulse counterweights take over and takes the impulse out of the sequence. Set your trottle about a quarter ways up and pull out the choke. It should start every time.
