Hello again. Back in July I posted a question about a M farmall that was running wide open. I got some great ideas and advice on how to repair this problem. Unfortinatly these did not repair the problem . I will give you the history. The carb is installed correctly to the linkage, The throttle linkage moves free. When the tractor is not running all of the govenor parts are free and can be moved with ease. There is a half moon shaped arm on the back of the gov. This moves free also when the tractor is not running. After starting the tractor it runs wide open. The half moon lever cannot be moved unless you push down on the linkage under the breather cap until the tractor almost stops. The I can move the lever and the goveron wieghts will close or fall together for a brief moment, then it will return to wide open. I would appreciate any info that i could get on how to repair this problem. Should I take the gov. housing off and if I do how is it connected to the drive grear. (will I have to remove the front cover?) Thanks in advance for any info you cansend my way.
