Putting a 560 diesel into a 460 gas

I have a 460 gas (C 221 I think)with a bad engine. I've found the remains of a cane loader that is based on a diesel 560 (engine type D 282) that they are using only the drop axels to make a high crop out of and selling the rest including engine, trans and punkin area of the rearend ($1000). Thought I'd split them at the rearend, put my rearend and front end (narrow type) on it if it would fit. Does anyone have an idea if it would go? He started the engine sitting on the ground and it seems fine. Thanks for any thoughts.
