Click to the left under research Articles then go down to the step by step 12 volt conversion. Follow those instructions, what works for the M will work for the Cub. You need to put a resister in the wire from the battery to the Coil, but you can get those form the IH dealer. The serial number should be on a plate where the steering enters the steering box on the right side of the tractor. click on serial numbers to the left and look up the year.
