On my M's there is only bushings in the water pump. As long as it doesn't leak and still cools good I wouldn't bother with it. If you would like to make it better you can take it off and there are adjustments to make for endplay and also a nut that can be tightened to tighten the packings that keep it from leaking. As mentioned before, a little grease makes these last a long time. Steven
