I'll add my two cents worth, since you got some very good answers which seem to conflict. The key to using calcium chloride in tires is keeping the tubes in good shape. A small leak which goes undetected is the worst. If you have to add air occasionally, you have a leak so you must have it fixed. The fluid does not corrode particularly quickly, just thoroughly. A leak is no big deal IF you fix it and clean the rim and tube while they are apart. As long as you have no leaks it is reasonable to leave fluid in the tires. But if you let it set for long periods, you may be surprised one day to find a leak with substantial corrosion. I take the fluid out of mine as soon as I can.
