I saw one sell at an auction for $175. It only had one auger and was decent but had been used. As for the wife I don't have that problem when it comes to machinery with my better half so I can't help you. My wife chewed me out for NOT buying the posthole digger. Said it would work nice on her Super C. $250 sounds like a deal to me if it is nearly new. To put it in her words- "you snooze, you lose". Ain't she great?
