eating plugs

I have an A that is fouling out plugs, The eng has a fresh overhaul and new carb. I ran into something like this on a M that had champion plugs in it and I went to auto light plugs an solved the problem, but this A just does not like etheir, it does have a mag on it an seems to faul out #2 frist then #3. any ideals
