484 weight

My intertec price guide shows the weight of a 1981 484 as 4660 lbs., and shows the weight of a 1982 as 3540 lbs. Does anyone know if this is correct, and if so, where did that weight come from? According to the same book, the 1985 CaseIH 485 weight is 5200 lbs. They all show the same engine, and the same number of gears etc. What is the difference? Thanks.
