Julia, Before starting for the first time, I would make sure all the oil lines are clear. I do this by blowing air through them. I also make sure that all the splash troughs are getting oil -- I burned out a rod on a F-20 when one of the splash troughs was not getting oil. Then I would try starting it using a twisted belt: 1. Line up the belt pulley of a tractor that runs head-to-head with the belt pulley of your wk40. 2. put a flat belt with a twist between the belt pulleys. 3. put the belt pulley in gear on your wk-40. make sure the transmission is out of gear. 4. slowly engage the pulley on the tractor that runs. This should turn over your wk-40. Where are you located? I am in central Illinois.
