That looks about how I split mine also. I built a small splitting stand fashioned after what I have seen at dealerships about 20 years ago for my 200. Works very well when the torque tube needs to come off with the front end but won't help when they need split at the clutch housing for supporting the front half. In that case I do what you have pictured.
