I have had calcium in my tires for 20 years without a problem until recently. However, I got a small leak around the valve and it started eating away at the rim. When I removed the tire there was very little rust on the inside of the wheel, only outside where it leaked. However, I dumped the calcium and refilled with the new nontoxic antifreeze ($2 gallon). Using regular antifreeze is a huge problem if you have a leak or need to dispose of it. It is really toxic stuff.
