You need to do some more diagnostics. Get the tractor under a load again & engage the PTO or Belt pulley. If the engine clutch is slipping the PTO and belt pulley will slow down & stop also. If they don't You know the M&W hand clutch is the culprit. Let Us know what You find out. I always heard the M&W clutches were prone to slipping because of the tremendous torque they had to handle.
