In my library the two preferred books on International Harvester and/or Farmall tractors are: International Harvester Farm Equipment Product History 1831-1985 by Ralph Baumheckel & Kent Borghoff Farmall Tractors: History of McCormick-Deering Farmall Tractors by Robert Pripps & Andrew Morland I must be the only IH enthusiast who knows about the first book listed (or else the only one who likes it) because I never see it referred to on the IHC Forums. However, I consider it one of the best. It deals not only with all the tractors made by IHC (except the crawlers), but also all the various implements, including combines, cotton pickers, etc. The second book is one of the many in the Motorbooks International "Farm Tractor Color History" series. This book is in large format paperbound with glossy pages and filled with large color photos, with emphasis on the letter series and the first "numbered" series (100, 200, 300, 400). The only complaint I would have with these books (and almost every other book that has been written about tractors, regardless of make) is the almost complete absence of specifications.

It was an Allis-Chalmers tractor dealership,
