the f-30 has a thermostat. make sure it works. you might find yourself facing a overheated engine once it starts. make sure the oil pump works and that the oil galleries and lines are all clean including the oil hole in the front plate of the govenor. check the pressure relief ball and spring in the oil pump to see that it's working. i've overheated the f-30 and blown the top off the purolator oil filter (nonrepairable)on a friends f-20.
