Reminds me of when my dad warned me of the same thing as a kid. Often spring rains would "wash out" some pretty good ditches in the fields, and then when mowing thick hay with the C you did not see a large ravine until you were already in and out with the front. Many times I have dropped the tricycle front of my C into a very deep ditch in 3rd gear at full throttle. I still wonder how it survived. Even more recently I was brush hogging and dropped it into a ground hog hole. These are another issue in this area. About the only advice is to slow down in areas you are not familiar or may have these type hazards.
