Harold, in regard to changing direction of travel on a 656 hydro. It would work the same as you have done in the past, by assembling the ring gear on opposite side. everything remaining the same I would not want to be riding on it in reverse, with it in hi range and the control lever past the blue line though. You would have the same control as before. It is limited as to how far the swash plate can travel as it is set up so that you can still steer and back up. Once you get past the blue line you give up power for speed in hi range forward travel. Good luck.
