Salmoneye, Don't know if you know this but to adjust the tendion on the water pump. Loosen the
set screw on the frount half of the pully ,unscrew
the frount half to widen the gap so the belt can be set in place. screw the frount half back to tighten the belt. There are slots in the threads,
when desired tension is achieved find slot closest
the retighten the set screw , there you are!
You mentioned you usually hung out on the Ford
