Look for the date code on major castings like the engine, tranny, axle housings, wheels, etc. Format is: mm-dd-y mm = month
dd = day
y = year code, where A = 1931, B = 1932, etc thru Z = 1954 ("V" was skipped for some reason) Date codes will tell you when each piece was cast - your tractor model year is usually (though not always) the same year.
