I KNOW THIS MAY GET A LOT OF COMMENTS, BUT WHAT I HAVE DONE IS USE LYE, USED IN CLEANING DRAINS, MAKING SOAP, ETC. MIXED WITH LIQUID DETERGENT AND WATER USED IN A GARDEN SPRAYER. THIS ALLOWS YOU TO GET INTO ALL THE CRACKS AND CREVICES. LET IT SOAK FOR AWHILE AND I PROMISE YOU WILL SEE RESULTS. OLD PAINT AND GREASE ACTUALLY RUN OFF WHEN RINSING. A WORD OF CAUTION, USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHES, EYEWEAR, ETC. WHEN FINISHED, VERY LITTLE, IF ANY GREASE WILL BE LEFT. IF NECESSARY, REPEAT.
