NAPA auto parts has replacement strainer bowls. You might also consider using a ball valve/inline filter setup the way most puller use. It's not original looking, but it works better. The ball valve is quick and easy on/off. Inline filters can be bought with a replaceable element inside of a clear holder, they look nice and allow you to see dirt inside. Denny's Carb Shop sells the whole kit, but you can get the same stuff from NAPA and TSC for alot less money. Good Luck.
