The M&W governor was a reduced friction design of the OEM governor. Had a thrust bearing in it, and used a different linkage to control the throttle valve so It could be more sensitive. All governors were adjustable for RPM's. The M&W added nothing there. In variable load conditions is where they made the most difference. Once the throttle valve was wide-open, You were getting ALL the power You were going to get, whether You had the OEM or M&W governor. There is a "ROCK-IT Governor" advertised in the Red Power Magazine that's the same design as the M&W.
