Somewhere in the early 50s, the size designations were changed. Before, the sizes were 10 X 24, 11 X 38, 12 X 38 and so on. After the change, designations were changed to measure the tire at the widest point and 10 X 24 became 11.2 X 24, 11X 38 became 12.4 X 38, 12 X 38 became 13.6 X 38 and so on. If the tires have the old size designation, there is a good chance they are original. Of Course you could get a tractor like the old Super A we had. It was used so much that I can remember putting at least 2 sets or rear tires on it and I'm pretty sure the tires were all the old designation.
