IH TD-6 Oil leak problem

I have an older model IH crawler that is leaking oil out the rear finals. Most of the oil is leaking out of the left side final in a steady drip while running. Oddly, the oil seems to be motor oil. How is motor oil reaching this area? Also wher can I find more info/parts for this old crawler? Thanks, Richard
