Smoking Oil Breather

Bought my first antique tractor a few weeks ago, a Farmall C. Thought the engine was in good shape, starts good, sounds good. But over the weekend I noticed when it has a load on the engine it smokes quite a bit out the oil breather cap. I know thats fumes coming out of the crankcase but how much smoke is too much? Does it mean the rings are bad? It doesn't smoke at all through the exhaust pipe.
