I agree, the 140 sounds like a pretty good deal. $3500 for the cub seems high though. Around here (SE Texas) there are a lot of the smaller Farmalls, and prices for good running tractors are in the $1800-$2500 range, with implements. I know prices are real variable by region, with several thousand difference for the same tractor.
