I finally had a chance to look at the condition of the engine in the w6 I recently purchased. The pistons are in decent shape, as well as the lower end bearings. Even the sleeves are pretty decent. The one problem I see is in the #3 cylinder. There is quite a bit of movement with the piston in regards to the cylinder walls. I also noticed that the #3 spark plug had an extender on it leading me to believe it was fouling plugs in that cylinder. My question is why would the #3 cylinder be worse that the rest, and is it possible to buy sleeves and rings and not have to buy a whole rebuild kit? The head has been done, and never installed. Where is a good place to buy rings and sleeves? Thanks, Dave
