Hi Jess, the longest lasting and most reliable battery without a doubt is Interstate. I have sold them all, and I have run them all. I never have luck with Exide, yet I sell them for those people who want cheap. Don't let someone try to compare Exide, Diehard, and John Deere with each other, because they are all made by Exide. Another thing I like about Interstate is that they rotate their batteries. When you buy an Interstate, it is guaranteed fresh power. The number 2 rated battery is the AC Delco. Another reliable battery. I think a 31P-PHD battery will fit your M. It has 950 CCA. Measure your battery box, then call your local dealer to see if it will fit. They might have to order it. I start 6 cylinder diesel tractors with this battery all winter in New York with no engine heater or ether.
