Did you check the distributer cap, magneto cap and rotor? They must be clean, no cracks and contacts in good condition.
Did you replace the wires with real copper wire or resistor wire? These old tractors don't usually like resistor wire.
I would look inside at all wiring and conections. Conections must be clean, bright and tight, insulator blocks in good shape, wiring in good shape and not rubbed through anywhere.
What coil did you replace? Was it the magneto coil? Make sure the magneto coil ground side conection is good.
I would suspect a poor conection or a componant grounded where it shoudn't be. Check the new parts too, sometimes they can be bad right out of the box, especially condensors. Make sure the points make and break, gap them at .013
