I have a preference for Aviation Form-A-Gasket.I generally DON'T recommend silicone on parts that come into contact with fuel or oil.I bought a '34 Chev truck and the previous owner used silicone to seal up various gaskets and it is being attacked especially by gasoline.Needless to say it created quite a battle to clean it up.
