M Farmall hydralics

My 49' M has bellypump hydralics. Is there a bigger pump that can be installed to increase lifting and versatility? I recently changed fluid and refilled properly. When I put the bucket down after use and shut the beast off, fluid bubbles out the cap. It is not hot or does it smell burnt. I recently reached its limits when pulling out a fence post. It is a little sluggish at start up and I'm wondering if the pump is stuck in relief or bypass?
