Farmall M, revert to 6v

I have a '42 Farmall M and I would like to convert it back to it's original 6v. What say you and what exactally do I need to do to do this. I don't use it at all in the cold weather. The tractor is just too nice to take out in the cold. Remember, when explaining this conversion to me, I'm tractor illiterate. Thanks
