the tires are bigger makes the whole thing stand over 5in taller than a regular A the front axle has nothing to do with it your front tires should be on a 19in rim square cast type axles were optional and over the years things have gotten all mixed up who knows what has been changed i think the rear rims were 30in campared with a 24 that was used on As and also the Bs unless they had the dual tire set-up which used 5x30 tire serial no should also say FAV
