Lou I use 1 gauge cables from NAPA regardless 6 or 12 volt. 711931 BEL. Cable from battery to ground. Use the large bolt next to the starter for the ground. 713531 BDL. Cable from the battery to the starter switch. 714091 BEL. 40" cable from the starter switch to the starter post. My start buttons are mounted on the steering post across from the light box.
