Richard - Sorry....I don't have the internal wiring diagram for a regulator. I've got an old one in my "junk" box - as time permits I'll trace it out and make a diagram of it. Likewise I have no drawing of the back of your type of switch... Briefly here's what the regulator terminals do: GEN - Connects to the generator A (armature or output) terminal to the regulator. BAT - Connects to the ammeter and ultimately the ungrounded battery terminal. The cutout relay inside the regulator electrically connects the GEN and BAT terminals when energized - permits current to flow from the generator to the battery and loads. FLD - Connects to the generator F (field or control) terminal. The voltage regulator relay inside the regulator controls generator output by grounding or passing field current thru a limiting resistor also inside the regulator L - This is the Load or Light (I'm not sure which) terminal. Electrical loads like lights and ignition should be connected here. However it's not unusual for no connection to be made to L - it the L duplicates the regulator BAT terminal. Electrical loads can be connected to the regulator L, BAT or to regulator side of the ammeter with the same results.

When Push Comes to Shove - by Dave Patterson. When I was a “kid” (still am to a deree) about two I guess, my parents couldn’t find me one day. They were horrified (we lived by the railroad), my mother thought the worst: "He’s been run over by a train, he’s gone forever!" Where did they find me? Perched up on the seat of the tractor. I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
