If you're going to run it on gas the lack of lead shouldn't make much difference. This does depend on how much you want to do with it though. If you use it a lot and have the engine running at high RPM the lead fuel will be more of a concern. If you do run it on gas you will need to do several things to it (keep the shutters open, remove the manifold sheild, etc.). I beleive there is a difference between kerosene and distillate.
