You know what they say about necessity.
When I was growing up dad could not find anyone to do custom baling any longer and needed hay baled. Found a reasonable square baler, and rake for sale. We had two tractors, a Farmall C and an 8n ford. Couldn't afford at the time to trade, or buy another bigger tractor, so for many years we square baled approximately 60 acres with either the C or 8n using a McCormick #45 baler. Slow, but effective. Just had to watch the large windrows. By the way they are still in service to this day. (wore the baler out, and it is setting low in the weeds today).
