Are you some kind of evil Glenn? When you can get new aftermarket parts and rebuilt parts from places like Valu-Built tractor parts, why not keep the old thing going? Rather than have one less out there? If it's the BIG parts like WHOLE TRANSMISSIONS you need, find an ALREADY JUNKED AND STRIPPED tractor rather than parting out a tractor with the potential to keep going. The way I see it, there was a limited number made, and though it seems like millions are out there, there isn't. And people like me that like the old tractors better that buy one in the condition described cause we have little money and fix it slowly so another one is still going for at least the time we have it seems like the better deal to me. But, what's one person's opinion?
