The fan belt is tightened up by making the pully smaller. There should be a lock bolt on the collar in front of the belt. Loosen the lock bolt and take a punch and push the collar counter clock wise until you can take the belt off. You may need some PT blaster to loosen up the thread. WD 40 might work also. When you put the new belt on, just reverse the collar until the belt is snug. It dosen't need to be real tight.
