I had the same problem with the lights on my H. I soldered a ground wire to the back of the light reflector, near where the bulb is grounded in its socket & ran it back to the same point as the battery was grounded. Doesn't look pretty, but works well. You won't beleive the amount of light a 6V will give you. WARNING!! Make sure the spot you solder is really CLEAN, or it won't stick. I couldn't get my solder to stick to the bulb socket, or I would have used that.
