Yeah, I know what you mean. My first SC was pretty much a piece of junk and I spent a year and about $4500 fixing it back to new condition. Of course I loved every minute of it, but as soon as I finished it a SC was advertised in the paper. I went to look at it and wished I had found that one instead of the one I restored. It was nearly perfect, all it needed was paint and it ran like a sewing machine. This man was only the second owner, he bought it in the early sixties. Asked the guy the price and he sheepishly said $1100 for it and the equipment? I nervously wrote him out a check, loaded the tractor and equipment on the trailer and left before he changed his mind!! We owe it to ourselves to get an easy one now and then.
