The A engine orginally had a 3 inch bore and 113 cubic inch displacement. You can get oversize 3 1/8 inch bore sleeves and pistons to use to rebuild the engine giving it 123 cubes. In fact, the over bore sets are easier to come by than the originals. It will give you 3 or 4 more HP. The larger engine that came out in the Super C and the late Super A and the 100 had a 3 1/8 inch bore and 123 cu inch originally. That engine is the same on the outside, but not the inside. The sleeves for it will not fit the A engine. You have to get the overbore sleeves made for the A. The larger engine can be equipped with sleeves to get a 3 1/4 inch bore.
