Jimbo- I used a bead blast cabinet for my 'H' carb. It was sooo bad that I figured I would either save it or ruin it. I only the did housing, and I stripped it COMPLETELY down. Then, I used pipe cleaners, spray carb cleaner and compressed air to clear sand out of all the passages. I took extra care to make sure I had it clean. I put it back together with a complete carb kit (including float) and it runs perfect.
