Jimbo: I am an advocate of sandblasting when it comes to tractors (if you are very careful and cover all seals etc.);however, I do not sandblast carbs. I have a gallon of carb cleaner from NAPA that works great. After they are dried off, a few minutes on the wire wheel clean them completely. Good luck.
