It involves a little work, but can be repaired. First remove the three bolts on the hydraulic manifold pipes under the pump. Let hydraulic oil drain into container or drain at reservoir. Either way its a little messy. That done and pipes removed. Remove distributor cap and line up rotor with a mark for later installation. Do not turn engine after that step. Now remove the distributor, next are the four bolts holding on the pump. With the pump off, remove the nut holding the gear onto the pump. There is your seal that is leaking. Now check to see that the pump shaft bushing isn't real loose, it may need a pump rebuild if that is the case. You have already at this point saved a lot of money if you can handle this. Good luck, as they say assembly is the reverse of removal.
