We also have an F-20 that I am in the process of restoring. The front wheels are 600-16 inch. But the way I understand it that was the old way of sizing tires. That changed I believe sometime in the late 50's if I remember correctly. The modern equivalent would be something with slightly smaller numbers I believe, though I'm sure wheel dealers in your area would quickly be able to make the relevant comparison. I'm not sure if you are seeking a restoration along true lines of the original or merely to purchase a set of properly fitting tractor tires that will simply roll. However let me mention the following. In my case I wanted to use tires with a tread pattern that would have been typical of what was available when my 1937 F-20 was new and had the option of being purchased with a set of rubber wheels. If that is what you are indeed looking for than what you want is a set of 600-16 old style "Guide Grip" tread pattern tires. They are different in tread pattern than those available today. Firestone sold the old tire molds to Brazil and the tires made from these molds are not only accurate in design but are made from the ACTUAL tire molds used to produce tires in the 30's, or so goes the story that I read. If this is of any interest to you they are available for M.E Miller Tire in Wauseon Ohio, 419-335-7010 or at www.millertire.com. The set I purchased from him cost $198 including inner tubes, taxes and shipping.
