I used to have a TD 9 that would run fine when cold but when warmed up would miss on one or two cyls and puff blue smoke, went all through the fuel systen from filters to lines, supply pump and injector pump, even pulled the head to look at valves, problem was injectors,pulled them out and took them to a diesel shop expecting hundreds of dollars and two of them had broken relief springs. fixed for less than $150. not counting filters and head gasget and skinned knuckles
