I think your right there ,As a kid around home The 504 Gas they had bought in the mid 60's was our first unit with a 3pt hitch.
Was the first farmall around home with a 3PT hitch.Some of the locals already had 340,460,560's with the 2PT fast hitch. But I remember they liked the 3Pt much better than the 2PT because it was so much more adaptable to different implements.
