Take off the magnet and see if it will stick to the side of the tractor or anything else you hve laying around made of steel. If say,a wrench wont hold on there the magnet is weak.If its ok,then take off the cover where the magnet sits on the mag.Look for what appears ot be a broken wire, but its really suppose to be like that.Put the magnet back on.With an impact wrench spin the mag over and look for a spark at the "broken wire".If you got one then its the condensor,if not then its the coil windings.A weak magnet will not make a spark. This is the way I found out my windings were bad.Does the impulse trip when you turn it over.THat can cause problems as well.AHve you tried a new set of points and condensor yet?
